🎯 Problem Statement

Currently, it's possible to select a disk to test, but not possible to select a benchmark

💡 Proposed Solution

Allow user to select a benchmark from available benchmarks. We are going to start from fio.

⚙️ Technical Approach

When fio is selected the following happens:

  1. the frontend displays a textbox with default fio config
  2. Default config must be loaded from file, not hardcoded
  3. Textbox supports multiline editing
  4. Textbox supports drag-and-drop feature to allow user to upload their file

  • User can select a benchmark tool
  • Only available tools can be selected
  • Configuration area shows up when a tool is selected
  • Configuration area supports drag and drop
  • Configuration area supports multiline editing
